Company Overview

At Termatrac, our passion and motivation is to create technology that boosts the efficiency and effectiveness of Pest Control Professionals in their quest to better serve customers in the protection against termites. We are proud to be recognized as the leading innovator, pioneer and manufacturer of termite detection radar technologies, as well as non-invasive and non-destructive practices to detect, locate and confirm the presence of termites.

The Termatrac T1r, launched in 1999 utilizing the first generation of the termite detection radar, revolutionized the way in which pest control organizations conducted termite detection and control services. It is the first and remains the only single technology device in the world that can precisely detect, locate & confirm the presence of termites without the need for physical penetration of walls, floors or ceilings, and will not disrupt and displace termite activity. This has not only eliminated the need for post-inspection repairs and inconvenience, but has also built a reputation for saving Pest Control Operators a significant amount of time whilst boosting their brand impression and confidence among customers.

The invention that sparked a revolution was founded by Jim Davies in 1991, a pest control and building industry specialist for over 20 years. A 24 month scientific research project was conducted in conjunction with Griffith University in Queensland, Australia, to confirm and expand the viability of the concept and technology. The first prototype was lab tested in 1994 demonstrating compelling positive results, which rapidly led to onsite pre-determined termite condition tests. Extensive field testing and the development and refinement of hand-held termite detection radar devices led to the official world-wide launch in mid-1999.

Termatrac's history of pioneering and developing groundbreaking termite detection technology continues today, pushing the boundaries of innovation and furthering our position as the world's leader in termite detection technology. We take pride in contributing to the shape of future industry innovation through a time tested process and focus that puts customers first.

At the core of Termatrac's approach to innovation is an unwavering commitment to delivering new and better solutions that directly address customer needs. As an example, Termatrac recognized the cumbersome array of tools typically handled by Pest Control Operators to perform termite detection services across numerous environments. This led to Termatrac's latest innovation, the T3i 3-in-1 termite detection system, launched in 2010.

The Termatrac T3i was designed specifically to be the only termite detection device required on a Pest Control Professional's tool belt to competently and efficiently perform termite detection services. It combines the three critical technologies required to detect, locate and confirm the presence of termites; a Remote Thermal Sensor with Laser Guide, a Moisture Sensor, and the latest Termite Detection Radar, ina single hand-held device that connects via Bluetooth to an android device. It enables an operator to easily detect termite risk areas using the built-in thermal sensor and moisture meter, and then precisely detect, locate and confirm the presence of termites using the Termatrac Termite Detection Radar. The seamless integration into the PDA enables efficient data reading and storage, customer-site data history comparison, as well as data download onto PC for semi-automatic report generation.

The T3i 3-in-1 device revolutionizes the Pest Control Industry as it alleviates the need for traditional cumbersome termite detection devices such as Thermal Imagining Cameras, Borescopes, Video-scopes, CO2 Detectors, and even Sniffer Dogs trained for termite detection. The benefits recognized by Pest Control Professionals in using the T3i 3-in-1 device is reduced capital investment and maintenance costs due to reduction in termite detection equipment, increased convenience, less staff training, greater accuracy in termite treatments, fewer callbacks, plus leveraging technology for competitive differentiation in professional appearance in front of customers.
