The Remote Thermal Sensor with Laser Guide built into the Termatrac T3i hand-held unit performs a similar role to a thermal imaging camera (minus the visual capability), enabling the operator to scan Termite Risk Areas for changes in wall surface temperature which could be conducive to termite infestation.
Identify Termite Risk Areas, Find Rats nests, Bees
Remote Thermal Sensor accurately identifies significant heat sources generated by termites and other pests within common building structures.
The Termite Detection Radar can then be used to accurately detect and confirm movement in the suspect areas, plus is used to trace and locate termite nests and entry points.
Field-of-View Laser Guide
Laser Guide displayed on the wall surface indicates where the sensor is being pointed.
Termatrac Thermal Sensor averages the temperature in a circular area around the laser guide.
Quick Scan Capability
Quick scan capability across a wall surface.
1:12 (target circle diameter to distance from target surface) ratio allows for practical scanning of large surface areas.
Eg, 6.00m from a wall, a circle with a diameter of 0.50m will be the area read by the Remote Thermal Sensor with Laser Guide.
Eg, 3.00m from a wall, a circle with a diameter of 0.25m will be the area read by the Remote Thermal Sensor with Laser Guide.
Data Analysis and Storage
Store Thermal Sensor readings of Termite Risk Areas in the PDA / Handheld computer for later off-site analysis or future property review.
Stored data is automatically transferred to the Termatrac Cloud for analysis where you can generate reports for incorporation into termite activity/damage reports.
I have been using a Termatrac for over 8 years. I find it an invaluable tool to aid my research into bringing new termite control products to the Australian market.
If I conduct a treatment on a house, I like to know all sites of termite activity before commencing, without disturbing the termites. This way when the treatment has been done and I am conducting my subsequent post-treatment inspections, if there is no activity on the Termatrac at the same locations as pre-treatment activity, then the treatment has been successful. A visual assessment can chase termites from an area only for them to return after the experiment has finished. I also find it useful in tracking the entry point into the dwelling.
Overall the Termatrac remains one of my most important research tools.
I would like it to be known to you that we have been very impressed by the Termatrac T3i Suite, which we purchased from you on 21st October 2012. This unit has been utilised very successfully in our day to day building and timber pest inspection activities, identifying termite activity without the need for destructive investigation at the inspection stages. The mobility of the handheld PDA is great and easily employed when needed. The password protection is also considered a great feature of the unit.
For us, we have adopted a process of ‘user efficiency’, whereby during the process of a timber pest inspection, areas identified for further investigation (example – abnormal moisture readings) are then marked with tape, which at the end of the inspection, are then further investigated using the Termatrac unit’s radar facility.
The Termatrac unit has significantly improved our confidence in inspection outcomes and inspection reporting to our clients. The initial contact with Termatrac was pleasant, informative and the training course and user certification invaluable to our business. We like to thank you and your friendly and committed staff for all the assistance provided and your ongoing support.
We were doing a job on a house that was brick below grade a couple of weeks a go and the customer wanted to know how far the infestation had gone so far. I started where we knew we had a problem and went left and right and found activity about 10-12 feet in both directions. We moved every 16 inches to each stud and found movement in about half of those studs we tested and finally stopped finding movement when we reached a window in one direction and a interior wall in the other direction. This was really helpful to my customer to know where he had to replace damage. sure enough when they tore the wall out the damage stopped where the movement stopped with Termatrac.
I have found termites with the Termatrac in several houses we’ve gone to inspect for new jobs and have sold about 90 percent of those jobs because i was able to show them where the problem was they were very impressed with the Termatrac. No one else that came to give an estimate had one.
I highly recommend this piece of equipment for locating termite infestations in homes that haven’t shown any visible signs of being there. We are in mobile AL. and deal with Formosan termites on a daily basis and the Termatrac has been a great asset to us .
It is much better to do the termite treatment using the T3i than to do it like a blind person !
Initially I used Termatrac as a gimmick to sell – “a sales tool”. I didn’t really care whether it worked or not as I thought I had all the relevant experience to detect termites myself.
Now I do not attempt ANY Termite job without using the Termatrac to its full potential. I can find point of entry a lot of the time, and importantly I often find active Termites when another pest control company has quoted before me and told the client that there was nothing there.
This week alone the Termatrac has won me 3 Termite eradications! In my opinion it is without doubt the best piece of technology developed for the pest control industry. I looked at thermal imaging camera’s at the same time, but so glad I went with the Termatrac.
Termatrac has been a tool that is constantly in use on each termite job that I undertake. It has got me out of trouble many times. It is very easy to use, it also impresses the clients.
The use of the Termatrac is a great tool to detect and confirm termite presence, allowing to track movement and to assist with pinpointing entry points.
I was asked by another pest control technician to use my Termatrac Termite Detection Radar on a house which had ongoing termite damage but they were unable to locate the activity. I started at the front door following each wall from the left. Termite activity was quickly located in the laundry area; however, the technician I was with was not convinced. With permission from the owner, he removed the wall lining, but activity was still not visible and he stuck a screwdriver into the bottom plate and it sounded solid.
As the Termatrac Termite Detection Radar was still showing movement and presence of termites in this location, he then used a crowbar and lifted the bottom plate which a single line of termites was located underneath. That was the best find of the year. I rate the Termatrac Termite Detection Radar 10 out of 10.
We had purchased the Termatrac T3i device, & have no hesitation to tell our PCO brethren, that when such a professional tool is available, why not arm yourself and stay ahead of times.
Customers are so amazed at actually being able to see termite movement that we win more business. This enables us to keep our prices stable in a difficult market. Termatrac has already paid for itself within the first few months.
We had the guys from VIP Pest control come out to conduct a building inspection and overall we were extremely satisfied with them. They were very professional, investigated our property thoroughly and conducted a termite inspection for our property. The inspection was conducted using the Termatrac T3i which found the issue quickly allowing us to get the issue resolved quickly without any hassles. I highly recommend their services and are very thankful that we used the people from VIP Pest Control.
I’ve been using the Termatrac for two years now and can’t recommend it highly enough.
Finding the workings of termites can be difficult enough with floor coverings and inaccessible areas, but the Termatrac is able to not only show that the termites are active, but I can also trace their entry point.
Past or present activity is quickly determined, no guess work, no invasive procedures, it has certainly given me confidence when inspecting.
If any company is involved with termite work and baiting or dusting control methods, a Termatrac Termite Detection Radar is an invaluable tool in locating the area of most activity with the least disturbance to the foraging termites. It also allows you to check any suspect areas without invasive and damaging inspection methods. A very good tool to have in your termite treatment/inspection portfolio.
Removes the uncertainty
We use the Termatrac T3i every day to remove the uncertainty of concealed termite activity. Premise Inspections are Brisbane’s home building and pest inspection specialists. Know what you have got and what condition it’s in. From that you can make good asset decisions.
Without the Termatrac termite radar we would have frequently missed finding termites during inspections. Also it is invaluable in pinpointing the spot to drill or split open timber and plasterboard prior to dusting treatments.
When I found termites in our garage in suburban Melbourne earlier this year I was horrified. I contacted PROTECH Pest Control & within 2 days we’d had an inspection using the Termatrac T3i & then full treatment of our property within the week.
I give full credit to Muzi and his team for the way they carried out the extensive work needed. They detailed the work processes to us & cleared up any mess made throughout the actual procedure.
They were punctual in arriving at the time agreed & again when the next inspection was due.
I would give the PROTECH name to any one with a Pest problem. I have already had a neighbor use them following our experience and satisfaction with the work done at our home.
Termatrac T3i Termite detection has proven utility tool to us to Detect Confirm & Track the presence of Termites. The Termatrac T3i means less damage to homes, less use of chemicals, more confidence and peace of mind in the results and better customer service.
Firstly I cannot stress how much this unit is relied on during my inspections. There have been so many times that it has found termites in places where I would have missed. It’s great for locating feeding areas so I can treat effectively. And for Pre Purchase inspections it clearly shows activity without needing to prove it further.
I almost feel guilty about inspections pre T3i but let’s not go there.
Once again this unit has been worth every $ spent.
Without using a Termatrac, you are only guessing if your termite treatment was effective.
For 6 years, each of our techs at Poor Boy Termite Control has been using a Termatrac. We now have 2nd generation T3i’s … No more guessing !
The use of a Termatrac is not only good for the detection of termites but it has become an industry standard. So if there is a termite problem you should have been using it.
The Termatrac Termite Detection Radar ensures there is no need to open damaged timber to see if there are termites present – which homeowners appreciate.
I use the Termatrac a lot more than my thermal imaging camera.
The Termatrac T3i is an awesome tool that every pest professional doing termite work needs to have in his toolbox… It’s quite amazing. If you’re a company trying to go green, you can pinpoint termites and use less Chemicals… If you’re looking for WOW factor for your company – THIS IS IT! It’s cutting-edge technology at its best. We are winning contract after contract. The phone is ringing off the hook. We are up about 50%. It has extended our season throughout the year. The best part is the bottom line – the T3i’s turned my business around!
Can’t recommend it enough
I have been doing Termite inspections for over 25 years and have found that Termatrac is the best way to locate termite activity, it has now become an essential part of the equipment I bring with me on every termite job. It’s simple to use and was very easy to learn.
I can’t recommend it enough to other pest control professionals, there is zero guess work involved when using Termatrac and that’s a huge benefit to my business.
Thanks guys and thank you for the great product!
In Delhi NCR, majority of residential & commercial proerty owners and managers are truggling with Termite problems and looking for relief.
More than us, our clients are delighted to see TERMATRAC in action. The traditional blind termite treatment is quite messy and time consuming. Who wants to fight a hidden enemy? When a termite control professional uses such a gadget which tells them exactly where their #1 enemy (Termites) is hiding, they just go for it. Thats what we are experiencing with TERMATRAC. Our entire prospective custoemrs are giving us priority over other service providers who are not using this machine.
We are extremely happy with our decision to buy this machine. On behalf of all the PESTGOGO termite clients & technicians, a BIG THANK YOU to your team.
Any termite inspection should always be conducted with the use of a Termatrac Termite Radar device.
Live termite activity is easily detected without invasive methods, and it informs the technician of termite presence that would otherwise be overlooked as no visual signs of activity would be apparent.
Makes us confident
Termatrac has been so personalised in their attention. Extremely informative about the process, costs and recommendations and have made me feel very confident regarding the information we have received about our termite management plan.
The Termatrac Termite Detection Radar enables my business to be more professional and offer a more informative termite inspection report for the client in a non-invasive means.
A few months ago we decided to invest in the T3i to improve our work with Termites and what a great decision that was. Our work regarding termite detection had tremendously improved and therefore our treatment can now be pinpointed. Not only is this an effective manner of treatment but looks great in front of our customers.
From a marketing point of view the T3i has raised our professional profile and it has paid for itself over and over again as we have experienced that other companies cannot resolve certain termite infestations. I would strongly recommend T3i to any pest management company, it is an essential piece of equipment when dealing with termite control.
I am Craig Robins, from Swan Hill Victoria. I’ve been working in the Pest Control Industry for 11 years now. First, working for my father, Brian Robins, ‘Robins Pest Control’ in Swan Hill, who’s been in the industry for over 30 years, and is still in the industry. And then ventured out on my own, with my wife Carrie-Ann, about 3 1/2 years ago trading as ‘Craig Robins Pest Control’.
My business has continued to grow each year, and I now employ my brother Darren full-time. The growth of my business has been for many reasons, but one being the ‘confidence’ surrounding using a Termatrac, for the detection of termites.
I’ve been using a Termatrac for many years now. From the original, to the new T3i with the new Motorolla PDA. It has been such a valuable tool for helping me detect termite activity. I continually find termite activity that has gone undetected by other Pest Control companies that don’t use or own a Termatrac. Also, the back up and help I receive from the team at Termatrac is exceptional. They really are leading the way!! I wouldn’t do an inspection now without one.
Many of my customers continue to be amazed and intrigued about the Termatrac. They can’t believe it can pick up termite activity in areas such as a wall cavity! I would encourage any Pest Control business/operator to invest in a Termatrac. Your business will benefit in every way!!
Without using a Termatrac T3i, you are only guessing if your termite treatment was effective. Why take chances when you have the technology to carryout works. Customers are so bowled over by the fact that they can actually see termite movement and their referral helps us gain more business.
It adds wow factor to the business.
