Termatrac recognises that for some users of the iTraker Application on the Android platform there have been some challenges recently with the Thermal Camera on some new Android devices.

Termatrac wishes to share the most current update, which we believe will allow a much more seamless operation of the Thermal Camera function of the iTraker Pro.

The Tech Team here at Termatrac has been thoroughly working through identifying the cause of an issue that saw the Thermal Camera cease working on only some handsets.

In easy-to-understand terms, as phone technology has been rapidly changing, some new handsets from a wide variety of providers (Samsung, Oppo and others), have made changes to the battery capacity of these new phones. These phones have required the handset to utilise all its power, and WILL NOT share any internal power with connected external devices, such as the Thermal Camera in the iTraker.

As a result, when the iTraker internal battery becomes drained during normal function, there is no support from the connect phones, resulting in an inability for the Thermal Camera to be detected.

Termatrac Tech team has worked on an update to the iTraker Android application to minimise this impact from technology changes from our third-party handset manufacturers.
