WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY
I was asked by another pest control technician to use my Termatrac Termite Detection Radar on a house which had ongoing termite damage but they were unable to locate the activity. I started at the front door following each wall from the left. Termite activity was quickly located in the laundry area; however, the technician I was with was not convinced. With permission from the owner, he removed the wall lining, but activity was still not visible and he stuck a screwdriver into the bottom plate and it sounded solid.
As the Termatrac Termite Detection Radar was still showing movement and presence of termites in this location, he then used a crowbar and lifted the bottom plate which a single line of termites was located underneath. That was the best find of the year. I rate the Termatrac Termite Detection Radar 10 out of 10.
Without using a Termatrac T3i, you are only guessing if your termite treatment was effective. Why take chances when you have the technology to carryout works. Customers are so bowled over by the fact that they can actually see termite movement and their referral helps us gain more business.
It adds wow factor to the business.
Any termite inspection should always be conducted with the use of a Termatrac Termite Radar device.
Live termite activity is easily detected without invasive methods, and it informs the technician of termite presence that would otherwise be overlooked as no visual signs of activity would be apparent.
I have been using a Termatrac for over 8 years. I find it an invaluable tool to aid my research into bringing new termite control products to the Australian market.
If I conduct a treatment on a house, I like to know all sites of termite activity before commencing, without disturbing the termites. This way when the treatment has been done and I am conducting my subsequent post-treatment inspections, if there is no activity on the Termatrac at the same locations as pre-treatment activity, then the treatment has been successful. A visual assessment can chase termites from an area only for them to return after the experiment has finished. I also find it useful in tracking the entry point into the dwelling.
Overall the Termatrac remains one of my most important research tools.
We were doing a job on a house that was brick below grade a couple of weeks a go and the customer wanted to know how far the infestation had gone so far. I started where we knew we had a problem and went left and right and found activity about 10-12 feet in both directions. We moved every 16 inches to each stud and found movement in about half of those studs we tested and finally stopped finding movement when we reached a window in one direction and a interior wall in the other direction. This was really helpful to my customer to know where he had to replace damage. sure enough when they tore the wall out the damage stopped where the movement stopped with Termatrac.
I have found termites with the Termatrac in several houses we’ve gone to inspect for new jobs and have sold about 90 percent of those jobs because i was able to show them where the problem was they were very impressed with the Termatrac. No one else that came to give an estimate had one.
I highly recommend this piece of equipment for locating termite infestations in homes that haven’t shown any visible signs of being there. We are in mobile AL. and deal with Formosan termites on a daily basis and the Termatrac has been a great asset to us .
The Termatrac Termite Detection Radar ensures there is no need to open damaged timber to see if there are termites present – which homeowners appreciate.
Can’t recommend it enough
I have been doing Termite inspections for over 25 years and have found that Termatrac is the best way to locate termite activity, it has now become an essential part of the equipment I bring with me on every termite job. It’s simple to use and was very easy to learn.
I can’t recommend it enough to other pest control professionals, there is zero guess work involved when using Termatrac and that’s a huge benefit to my business.
Thanks guys and thank you for the great product!
Firstly I cannot stress how much this unit is relied on during my inspections. There have been so many times that it has found termites in places where I would have missed. It’s great for locating feeding areas so I can treat effectively. And for Pre Purchase inspections it clearly shows activity without needing to prove it further.
I almost feel guilty about inspections pre T3i but let’s not go there.
Once again this unit has been worth every $ spent.
Initially I used Termatrac as a gimmick to sell – “a sales tool”. I didn’t really care whether it worked or not as I thought I had all the relevant experience to detect termites myself.
Now I do not attempt ANY Termite job without using the Termatrac to its full potential. I can find point of entry a lot of the time, and importantly I often find active Termites when another pest control company has quoted before me and told the client that there was nothing there.
This week alone the Termatrac has won me 3 Termite eradications! In my opinion it is without doubt the best piece of technology developed for the pest control industry. I looked at thermal imaging camera’s at the same time, but so glad I went with the Termatrac.
It is much better to do the termite treatment using the T3i than to do it like a blind person !
